By the time you read this month’s message the 2012 NAOC National Meet will be fast approaching. I’m really looking forward to this year’s meet hosted by Paul and Sharon Mang. It is a considerable amount of work to put this meet on and, in advance, my thanks and appreciation go out to both of them for their hard work and organization.

At our 2012 NAOC Board Meeting, at the national meet, we will be hearing the report from the Ad Hoc committee that has been working throughout this past year taking a long look at our club’s finances. They will be making their report, along with any recommendations they think are relevant. Many clubs, such as ours, are facing some financial challenges during these tough economic times. Your officers and I believe that we will weather whatever potholes may lie ahead. But, that being said, we may find a need to make some changes to make sure our situation remains positive.

As we move ahead, NAOC Secretary Greg Minges, will be stepping down after this year’s meet but will continue to fulfill his responsibilities as Chief Judge. Sharon Mang will be taking over those responsibilities from Greg. Sharon will do a great job. Our thanks to Greg for his years of service as NAOC Secretary.
