November 2013 Runabouts to Rockets

I hope all NAOC members were able to read the issue of Hemmings Classic Cars magazine. Jim Schultz’s fine collection of Oldsmobiles was featured in a multiple page spread. If you remember, Jim hosted our national meet in Prescott, Arizona several years ago and one of the main attractions was Jim’s collection housed in a building that looked like it could have been a Olds dealership from the 1950s.

In my part of the country—Pacific Northwest—fall is rapidly turning to winter. As of this writing we haven’t yet had any snow, but up in the mountains there has already been an accumulation. We can’t put it off.

Thoughts turn to winter projects. Finishing up or just beginning your project requires a lot of thought and planning. If you have a project you are working on you might want to consider writing it up along with pictures and forwarding them to our Editor for publication. My project, a 1950 Olds “98” convertible is moving along toward completion. Stay tuned for the story of the project here in the pages of RTR.
As my second term as NAOC President rapidly approaches its conclusion, my appreciation for our club and its members continues to be amazing. More on this later.

Happy Oldsmobiling
Larry
